Privacy policy

Privacy policy.

Last updated: 2 September 2026.

This policy explains what personal data Planzo collects when you use this website or request a case review, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. Planzo is the data controller for the information described below.

Who we are

Planzo is operated by [Registered business name, e.g. "Planzo Ltd", company number if applicable], registered address [registered/trading address]. For any privacy question, contact us at [privacy contact email].

What we collect

When you submit the free case review form, we collect:

  • Your name and email address.
  • Your planning application reference number.
  • Your site address and postcode, if provided.
  • Any other case details you choose to share with us.

If your case proceeds to our no win, no fee householder appeal service, we also collect Direct Debit mandate details (via GoCardless) needed to set up and, if your appeal succeeds, collect payment. We don't see or store your full bank details ourselves — these are handled directly by GoCardless.

If you accept analytics cookies, we also collect anonymised usage data via Google Analytics — see our cookies policy for details. No analytics data is collected unless you accept.

Why we collect it, and our legal basis

  • To provide the service you asked for — reviewing your case and replying with our assessment. This is necessary to perform a contract with you, or to take steps at your request before entering into one.
  • To communicate with you about your enquiry, including our no win, no fee householder appeal service if it's a good fit for your case. Legal basis: contract / legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you've initiated.
  • To set up and, where your appeal succeeds, collect payment via our Direct Debit mandate. Legal basis: necessary to perform our contract with you.
  • Analytics, only where you've given consent via the cookie banner. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time from the footer link "Cookie settings".

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. It's shared only with the service providers who help us run Planzo:

  • Resend — the email delivery provider we use to send your case review to us and, where relevant, our reply to you.
  • Cloudflare — our hosting provider, which processes traffic to this site as part of running the infrastructure.
  • GoCardless — our payment provider, used to set up your Direct Debit mandate and, only if your appeal is allowed, collect the £690 fee.
  • Google Analytics — only if you've accepted analytics cookies, to help us understand site usage in aggregate.

Some of these providers may process data on servers outside the UK. Where that happens, they do so under standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard recognised under UK data protection law.

How long we keep it

We keep case review submissions for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service and deal with any follow-up, and no longer than [retention period, e.g. "24 months"] after our last contact with you, unless we're required to keep it longer for legal or accounting reasons.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Ask us to delete your data, subject to any legal reason we may need to keep it.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent for analytics at any time, without affecting the service itself.
  • Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you think we've mishandled your data.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [privacy contact email].

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
